Many of us have gotten into arguments with spouses or significant others when one partner has "overshared" on social media. An understanding in advance may avoid these fights.
Over at relationship blog Your Tango, they’ve got a list of agreements you should make with your partner early in the relationship, including a "social media contract." They talk about making the rules a formal clause in a prenup, but that probably isn’t necessary for most people: all you need is an honest conversation. Decide in advance what is and isn’t okay to share about each other on social media. It’s probably wise to discuss whom you agree to friend and if it’s ok to interact with exes, too.
